I was born and raised in Wausau, Wisconsin and have lived and worked here my entire life. I had been blessed with good health until I experienced terrible back pain that radiated down my right leg. My name is Betty, and I am an active 56 year young woman. Until I hurt my back about 2 ½ years ago. The pain had chipped away at my life little by little, consuming my every day activities. I had been seeing a chiropractor for most of the 2 ½ years with little relief. I had tried acupuncture with no results. I sought relief with a surgeon. Sadly, all they could offer me was injections to disguise the pain and eventually have surgery to fuse my discs together. People without back problems take so many little things for granted. I had back surgery 20 years ago and had chronic back pain for the last 10 years. I went to chiropractors and had other back treatments with little success. I was very skeptical about decompression treatments at Spinal Aid.

Thanks to Dr. Scharer and his staff for encouragement to proceed, I am now pain free. It does work! Now I don’t need help getting in and out of bed and can do many household chores. I don’t need to call in the kids to help with yard work because I can now do it. And, I’m able to sit in my office chair without pain.

In the fall of 2007 while walking, I felt pain in my right hip. This got worse, so by January, I had trouble walking. I went to a doctor, after taking x-rays; he said it looked like a pinched nerve. He recommended therapy. After 5 weeks, no improvement. They sent me back to the doctor. After an MRI, he stated that I had a bulged disc and one with stenosis. He recommended surgery or injections. Having had back surgery, I chose injections but I couldn’t get in for over a month and with the pain as it was, I said forget it, I will look around. One week later, I saw your ad in the paper. I called and set up an appointment.

After 20 sessions, the pain is gone and I am looking to resume living a normal active life. I would highly recommend this to anyone with back pain. I also want to compliment the doctor and staff, very professional!

A few years ago I had an MRI that showed lower back issues. I then went through hours of injections in hopes to help the pain and discomfort. That was not a success for me. I continued to have daily pain in everything from standing long periods of time, sitting, laying. I called Spinal Aid to see if this could help me. I was very excited and pleased to hear Dr. Justin Scharer say, yes, he could. I will say within the first week of treatment, I was already feeling great. I have now completed all treatments and it’s bittersweet for me. I feel absolutely wonderful but yet will miss my weekly visits as the Doctor and Staff have been just wonderful, always happy and smiling and concerned about how I was feeling and progressing.

For several years I have had pain in my lower back and down my right leg. I have gone to physical therapy and had adjustments from the chiropractor. These treatments helped somewhat but didn’t always last very long.

I always had to be very careful of my activities, and with bending and lifting because it would cause more pain.

I was referred to Spinal Aid because they had good luck with their treatments and said it changed their life. So my family said I should try it out. After a few weeks I noticed a difference during the day and also at night. It’s nice to sleep without having pain, and I wake up and am not as stiff in the morning. I can move around with more mobility in the morning. It used to take me several hours to loosen up my lower back.
